Alexander Shorokhoff wins two international design awards

Independent watch brand Alexander Shorokhoff has secured two major international design awards for 2026.

Its ‘Karandash’ won Gold at the NY Product Design Awards in the ‘Watches – Luxury’ category, standing out among 2,500 global entries for its creative originality and bold design.

Meanwhile, its ‘Frozy’ was named a Platinum Winner at the International Architecture & Design Awards (IADA), beating out over 500 projects from 53 countries for its innovative case concept fusing jewelry and horology.

“I am especially pleased about these awards because they recognize the courage to follow one’s own vision,” said the company’s founder, Alexander Shorokhov. “For more than 33 years, I have not designed watches for trends, but for people who appreciate individuality, boldness, and art. 

“Karandash and Frozy embody exactly this philosophy: art should surprise, provoke, and evoke emotions. To see this approach recognized internationally not just once, but twice, is both a great honor and a confirmation that we are on the right path.”
