Alpina shoots for the stars with Startimer reissue

Alpina has reissued four editions of its Startimer Pilot Automatic, with plans for a collection redesign later this year.

The relaunch was presented at Watches and Wonders in Geneva this April.

At the event, Alpina presented the release with an arcade inspired exhibition, taking influence from gaming classics like Space Invaders.

At 40mm, the Startimer comes in three different dial colours: black, blue, and green.

Two different variations of the black model are available, with either a PVD-treated case and a NATO strap in beige leather, or a woven Cordura fabric strap with red stitching.

The piece is powered by an AL 525 calibre, manufactured by La Joux-Perret, with a power reserve of 68 hours.

For the PVD-treated case the model retails at $1,895 / £1,346. However, for the standard stainless-steel design the piece retails at $1,795 / £1,249.
