AP opens new 9,000 square metre manufacturing facility

Audemars Piguet has opened a new manufacturing facility in Switzerland’s Meyrin, bringing together case and bracelet production with a New Technologies hub.

The site took three years of construction to complete, and the brand claims that it has almost quadrupled the production capacity of its previous Meyrin location.

Officially opened yesterday, AP invited local and cantonal authorities, as well as its own management team and board of directors.

The new facility was the work of Swiss firm ‘FdMP architectes,’ who converted an old pharmaceutical headquarters and created this 9,000 square metre space.

This new complex has been designed in keeping with the very essence of our Manufacture: to pay tribute to the site’s heritage while carrying it forward through contemporary technologies,” said Ilaria Resta, AP’s CEO.

“It embodies the values of collaboration and well-being at the core of our company.”
