Ball continues to light up the dark with new release
Ball Watch Company has released its new Roadmaster Perseverer, a 40mm performance tool watch.
Blending 1970s aesthetics with modern railroad-standard precision (watchmaker Webb C. Ball was appointed to create a system of time inspection in the 19th century following a train crash, which eventually served as the blueprint for modern chronometer certifications), the watch is made from 904L stainless steel, known for its high resistance to corrosion and acids.
As you’d expect with Ball, a key feature is how the dial and hands light up in the dark. It’s equipped with micro gas tubes containing H3 gas, which require no external light source to charge, providing constant illumination in total darkness.
The minimalist design comes in a 40mm case with a magnified date window at 3 o’clock, while the aforementioned precision is powered by an automatic caliber BALL RR1103 movement.
Priced at $1,949, the Roadmaster Perseverer is sure to be lighting up many a watch collector’s wrist this year.
