Ball Watch Company celebrates the land of the free
As part of the 250 year celebrations since the birth of the United States, Ball Watch Company has released the Engineer Hydrocarbon AeroGMT II Patriot.
The special edition launch aims to use Swiss precision, while also leveraging the best of its DNA from its 1891 Cleveland roots.
The AeroGMT II Patriot is defined by its deep-blue aventurine dial, embedded with metallic crystals to mimic a starry night. There is also a version featuring Gibeon meteorite available.
As we’ve come to expect from Ball, the watch is still legible in the dark, with 44 micro gas tubes providing constant light.
Leaning on Swiss precision, the self-winding Ball RR1201-C movement is a COSC-certified chronometer, rigorously tested for accuracy across various temperatures and positions.
The American celebration element comes into the design courtesy of a red, white, and blue motif on both its bezel and its Jacquard-weave NATO strap. A stainless steel bracelet equipped with a patented triple-folding buckle capable of withstanding 1,400 newtons of force is also an option.
Limited to just 250 pieces per size, the AeroGMT II Patriot continues the legacy of the brand’s founder Webster Clay Ball, who is famous for having standardized “railroad time” and inspiring the modern chronometry standards used today.
The version with the blue aventurine glass dial is priced at $3,749, while the silver meteorite dial version is $4,699.
