Bamford London reveals London’s Air Ambulance Charity collaboration
Bamford London has released a limited-edition GMT in support of London’s Air Ambulance Charity.
Limited to only 50 pieces, the design has a case diameter of 40 mm and takes on the distinct colours of the service.
The model sees the traditional sweep seconds hand replaced with a replica of the helicopter’s rotor blades, a tribute to the aircraft at the heart of the charity.
The piece comes with either a red cordura or black rubber strap, with both versions each retailing at £1,800. For both straps, the model retails at £1,875.
London’s Air Ambulance Charity relies on the general public for 96% of its funding. The money raised will help ensure London’s air ambulance teams can continue to serve more than 2000 patients every year.
George Bamford, founder of Bamford London, stated: “The London Air Ambulance provides an extraordinary service, one that truly makes the difference between life and death.
“They rely entirely on public donations to operate, and it felt important to find a meaningful way to support their mission. This limited-edition GMT is our contribution to helping raise both awareness and funds.”
For every watch purchased, Bamford London will donate 22% of the sale (excluding VAT) to London’s Air Ambulance Charity. This equates to a donation of £396 per watch.
Jonathan Jenkins, CEO of London’s Air Ambulance Charity, concluded: “Everyone at London’s Air Ambulance Charity knows how critical time is to our work. When traumatic injury strikes, our team needs to be where they are most needed, by the side of our patients, as soon as possible.
“The support of Bamford London is a big step in making that possible and we couldn’t be prouder to have them on side. We are so grateful for the support of a brilliant business from the city we share.”
