Beaverbrooks shows Christmas compassion for its staff
Beaverbrooks has again shown why it’s considered one of the best employers in the UK, by giving its Potteries Centre staff Boxing Day off and an extra week’s pay.
The Hanley store closed at 4pm on Christmas Eve and didn’t open again until 27th December.
This latest move comes after the company gave away £50 vouchers to some of its customers in the run-up to Christmas.
The Hanley store’s manager Kate Archilletti said: “Here in Stoke-on-Trent, the festive season is always such a special time for us, so having Boxing Day off means a lot to the team. It’s a chance for everyone to relax, recharge and spend time with loved-ones after working hard to help our customers find the perfect Christmas gifts.
“Beaverbrooks is built on strong family values, and it’s great to see that reflected in decisions like this. Our colleagues and customers appreciate the company’s people-first approach, and we’re proud to be part of a business that genuinely values its teams, particularly with this long-standing tradition of Boxing Day closures.”
