Bell & Ross backs bronze on new dive watch
Bell & Ross has announced the release of the BR-03 Diver Black Bronze, which is made from CuSn8 bronze.
This is an alloy that has historically been used in things like diving helmets and yacht fittings, and is 92% copper and 8% tin.
It means that each watch will develop its own unique patina over time, with no two watches displaying the exact same signs of ageing and discolouration.
Adhering to ISO 6425 standards, the watch is water resistant to 300 metres, and comes with a unidirectional bronze bezel with a black polished ceramic insert.
For maximum legibility, the dial has ‘bathtub-style’ indices and skeletonised hands filled with white Super-LumiNova® for deep-sea visibility.
The BR-03 Diver Black Bronze is powered by the automatic BR-CAL.302-1 calibre, offering a 54-hour power reserve.
