BREAKING: French brand HERBELIN sponsors UK Watch Awards
French watch brand HERBELIN has been confirmed as a category sponsor of the highly anticipated UK Watch Awards 2026, which takes place on 20 October.
It will be sponsoring the highly competitive Multiple Watch Retailer of the Year category, for jewellers with five or more stores operating in the UK and Ireland.
Explaining the choice of category, the brand’s national sales manager, Nick Bassett, told Watch Insider: “HERBELIN has built a strong portfolio of independent stockists in the UK but now stands ready to partner with multiple retailers in order to accelerate growth. The rebranding and structural changes which have been made have paved the way for new partnerships and we hope that our sponsorship will encourage multiple retailers to engage with the brand.”
HERBELIN’s sponsorship of the UK Watch Awards comes during a period of significant growth for the brand in the UK market, with marketing director Maxime Herbelin telling Watch Insider earlier this year that the United Kingdom and Ireland are two of its fastest growing markets.
Bassett also highlighted the benefit of the industry now having its own day of celebration, with Insider Talks — a series of panel discussions with industry leaders — taking place in the afternoon, and the UK Watch Awards themselves taking place at a gala dinner in the evening, all at the iconic Goldsmiths’ Hall.
“The format of the events is very innovative and we feel that it is key that the industry comes together and shares knowledge and best practice to strengthen business across the sector,” Bassett commented.
“HERBELIN has invested heavily in rebranding and introducing a new distribution structure for the UK and we see the Awards as a key method to network with existing and potential new customers in the territory.
“We feel it is important to support the UK Watch Awards to recognise success in the industry and to strengthen our partnerships,” he concluded.
HERBELIN joins eBay, Loomis International, ZNG Cover, and TH March as sponsors of the biggest event in the UK watch industry’s calendar.
