California’s Collective appointed as first AD for Bamford London

Distributor ChronoTime has appointed leading watch retailer Collective Horology as the first authorized dealers of Bamford London Watches.

The California retailer, which is known for championing independent watchmaking, will be an authorized stockist for the brand, which was founded by George Bamford.

Bamford himself had originally forged a reputation for customizing existing luxury timepieces, before collaborating with major brands, and eventually producing his own watches under the ‘Bamford London’ name.

“Where most retailers carry what sells, Collective carries what they believe in,” said Collective’s founders Asher Rapkin and Gabe Reilly, who launched the business in 2018.

Over the years, it has collaborated on exclusive timepieces with major brands such as IWC, Urwerk, H. Moser & Cie., and Zenith.

It will mean that US watch collectors can get their hands on a Bamford London watch, either via an appointment at Collective’s Venura boutique or online.

ChronoTime is the distribution arm of Amsterdam- and London-based jeweler Ace Jewelers, and became the global distributor for Bamford London in May.

Owner Alon Ben Joseph described Bamford London as “the pinnacle of contemporary English style.”
