Cartier opens first permanent Austin boutique
Cartier has opened its first permanent boutique in Austin, Texas.
Located at The Domain, a shopping center in north west Austin, the opening comes just months after its last opening in the region.
The store’s façade pays homage to the brand’s core offerings with a textured stone exterior with curved edges aiming to evoke the Santos-Dumont.
Meanwhile, the large windows frame shimmering champagne-toned panels laser-cut with a gradient pattern give a nod to Cartier’s jewelry offering.
According to a LinkedIn post from Alexandre Delamort, Cartier’s AVP for the south east & Texas, the interior uses an organic colour palette.
He wrote: “A carpet patterned after the gentle waves of the Maison’s guilloché watch dials reflect Austin’s natural flow, calling on the image of Lady Bird Lake winding through the city.”
Delamort went on to thank the team for getting the boutique off the ground. He added: “I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all our colleagues who worked together to bring the Austin boutique to life.”
Last week, Watch Insider reported on a Cartier collection selling for $15 million at Sotheby’s. Read that story in full HERE:
