Cartier Tortue and Panthère watches among highlights of Dorotheum luxury auction
Two Cartier wristwatches will be among the watch highlights when Dorotheum auctions 100 pieces from a private German collection in Vienna on October 22.
The sale includes a 2019 Cartier Tortue, Ref. CRHP100779/3701 set with brilliant-cut diamonds which has an estimate of €20,000–40,000.
This is in addition to a very rare and exceptional 2018 Cartier Panthère wristwatch, Ref. CRHP101266, which features black jade and brilliant-cut diamonds. This piece carries the same €20,000–40,000 estimate.

The watches form part of The Art of Luxury — Hundred Highlights from an Important German Collection, bringing together Cartier and Bulgari jewellery alongside Hermès handbags from a collection assembled over more than 25 years.
Dorotheum expects the 100 selected lots to achieve a combined total of at least €1 million to €2 million, with opening bids ranging from €100 to €100,000.
Cartier is particularly strongly represented, with 18 pieces from its Panthère collection included across watches, earrings, rings, bracelets, and necklaces.
Dorotheum’s The Art of Luxury auction takes place in Vienna on October 22, 2026.
