CD Peacock celebrates six years of Steven Holtzman

CD Peacock is celebrating six years since Steven Holtzman joined the business, and what a six years it has been.

In a LinkedIn post shared via the company’s page, the Chicago-based retailer recognized exactly what Holtzman offers to the company, its staff and its customers on a daily basis.

It reads: “Celebrating 6 years with Steven Holtzman. His leadership is not only defined by vision, but by the integrity, passion, and care he brings to everyone around him.

“He has played an essential role in shaping our culture, inspiring our team, and guiding our continued growth. We are truly grateful for his dedication and the lasting impact he makes each and every day.”

It was the same passion and care that shone through in a recent interview with Watch Insider.

In an far-reaching interview to be published in the April edition of the magazine, Holtzman himself reflected on some of the things that, so far, have made his CD Peacock tenure a success.

“I hired some good people,” he explained. “They helped me through the foundation for building the store. I navigated through that with the help of others and built this store that was a huge investment.”

He is of course making reference to his role in the development of CD Peacock’s giant 20,000 square foot flagship located in Chicago’s Oakbrook Center.

“People were looking at it and laughing and asking how it could be done,” he continued. “Roll forward two or three years later and so many people are opening these big superstores. Now people are investing in what looked like a crazy thing as it ended up looking like it was a wise decision.

Adding: “It wasn’t because I knew what I was doing, it was because I was lucky. I ended up in the right place, picked good partner brands and hired a new team.”
