Chinese zodiac inspires Alexander Shorokhoff’s latest limited edition
Alexander Shorokhoff has introduced the Fire Horse, an 11-piece limited edition featuring a multicolored mother-of-pearl dial and horse motif inspired by the Chinese zodiac.
The design follows a one-off horse-themed watch created for Alexander Shorokhov’s 30th anniversary, which the brand says generated strong demand.
The horse is rendered in a loose, sketch-like style using different shades of mother-of-pearl, while fine lines divide the dial into five sections representing the world’s five inhabited continents.
Each watch also incorporates its edition number into the hour markers, giving all 11 pieces a different dial configuration.
At 9 o’clock, the small seconds hand is shaped from two stylized horseshoes, with a red tip marking the seconds. Other Alexander Shorokhoff signatures include the oversized 60, Avantgarde-style hands and a hand-engraved rotor.
The 43.5 mm stainless steel case houses the automatic Dubois Depraz caliber 14069, offering approximately 44 hours of power reserve. Sapphire crystal is used front and back, while the piece is water resistant to 5 ATM.
Priced at €3,900, the Fire Horse is fitted with a black suede leather strap and limited to 11 pieces.
