Christie’s Geneva to present sculptural timepieces for auction

Christie’s Geneva is bringing together a plethora of sculptural timepieces and vintage classics to auction over 11–12 May.

The Rare Watches auction will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues.

The sale will include the Patek Philippe Nautilus from the estate of Quincy Jones, and the exceptionally rare Audemars Piguet chronograph wristwatch from circa 1930.

Christie’s Geneva will also feature a curated selection of sculptural watches, many of which were created between the 1960s and 1980s.

Further highlights include Patek Philippe’s Pépites avec perles (nuggets with pearls) bracelet watch, estimated to be worth CHF 20,000-40,000 / $26,000-50,000, the Rolex King Midas, also estimated at CHF 20,000-40,000 / $26,000-50,000, and the 1991 Cartier Crash, estimated for sale at CHF 150,000-250,000 / $190,000-310,000.

The preview for the auction will take place from 8–10 May.
