Christopher Ward collabs again with marine conversation charity
Christopher Ward has launched the Trident 30×30, a 500-piece limited edition created in partnership with Blue Marine Foundation.
It’s the fourth collaborative timepiece between the two companies, and £30 from each piece sold directly supports Blue Marine’s 30×30 Ocean Action Plan, which aims to protect 30% of the world’s oceans by 2030.
Additionally, Christopher Ward contributes 2% of its Trident revenue, helping it achieve a total sum of £750,000 donated to the charity to date.
Design-wise, the watch takes inspiration from the parrotfish, featuring a stamped wave-pattern dial in parrotfish-blue, a matching matte-aluminium shroud and bezel, and a coral-coloured seconds hand.
A closed caseback replaces the usual exhibition back, displaying polished Blue Marine Foundation and 30×30 markings.
Powering the watch is Sellita’s new SW200-2 Power+ automatic movement within the dive platform, offering an upgraded 65-hour power reserve and a timing tolerance of -5/+12 seconds per day.
Built into the 200 metre water-resistant Trident Reef case, the hands and indexes are filled with Super-LumiNova Grade X1 for maximum underwater legibility.
The Trident 30×30 is available on an Aquaflex rubber strap ($1,250 / £895) or a steel Bader bracelet ($1,475 / £1,060).
