Christopher Ward reimagines the golden age of air travel

Christopher Ward has teamed up with Pan American World Airways to release the C60 Clipper GMT.

The 707-piece limited edition has been created to celebrate the golden age of air travel, harking back to ‘Pan Am’ being the first commercial airline to operate a jet-powered transatlantic service in 1958.

Small references to Pan Am’s history are included in the watch, with the 26 on the date wheel appearing in Pan Am’s iconic blue livery.

Housed in a 42mm case, the C60 Clipper GMT features a blue, 24-click, bi-directional bezel with IATA airport codes, reflecting 24 significant locations in Pan Am’s history.

The Pan Am “Blue Meatball” globe trademark is stamped into the closed, screw-down caseback and each piece is engraved with its limited-edition number.

Powered by the Sellita SW330-2 GMT movement, the timepiece boasts a 56-hour power reserve and is paired with a Bader bracelet as well as a woven strap made from the same material as Pan Am’s seatbelts.

Mike France, CEO and co-founder of Christopher Ward, said: “Pan Am wasn’t just an airline – it was a pioneer, shaping the future of air travel with style, innovation, and meticulous attention to detail.

“At Christopher Ward, we share that same ambition – to push the boundaries of watchmaking while remaining true to our principles of precision and design.

“The C60 Clipper GMT celebrates this legacy, combining the evocative golden age of aviation with modern innovation.”

The C60 Clipper GMTis priced at £1,450 / $1,995.
