De Bethune debuts the DB25 Digitale at Geneva Watch Days
De Bethune has introduced the DB25 Digitale in Geneva, a visit back to its approach to digital timekeeping with a new jumping-hour watch inspired by a nocturnal scene beneath the stars.
In launching the watch, CEO Antoine Pin joins founder and master watchmaker Denis Flageollet in presenting the collection in what the brand describes as the next chapter in its watchmaking.
Following in the footsteps of the DBD, one of the Maison’s emblematic models, the DB25 Digitale dispenses with conventional hands and hour markers.
Jumping hours are displayed at 12 o’clock, with a rotating minutes disc at 6 o’clock and De Bethune’s spherical moon phase at the centre.
The central moon comprises two polished hemispheres, one in palladium and the other in flame-blued steel, and indicates the moon phase to an accuracy of one lunar day every 1,112 years.
Powered by the third-generation in-house DB2144V3 calibre, visible through the sapphire caseback, its features include a self-regulating twin barrel, titanium-and-grey-gold balance wheel, De Bethune balance spring and triple pare-chute shock-absorbing system.
The DB25 Digitale is housed in a 42mm mirror-polished Grade 5 titanium case, paired with a dark blue lined alligator strap and polished titanium pin buckle.
