Dior unveils opal-set La D de Dior Abeille
Dior has introduced La D de Dior Abeille, a new series of unique-piece high-jewelry watches designed by Victoire de Castellane.
Named after the French word for bee, the collection uses staggered rows of bezel-set stones across the bracelet to create a honeycomb effect, while beaded detailing on the reverse references the pattern of a bee’s wing.
Each 25mm watch is built around an Australian opal dial, with polished gold Dauphine hands set with 13 diamonds.
The collection includes one yellow-gold and three pink-gold versions, combining stones including pink and orange spinels, sapphires, spessartite and rhodolite garnets, yellow diamonds and Paraiba tourmalines.
All four watches use a Swiss-made ETA quartz movement and are water resistant to 30 meters.
