Double drop for Citizen as Tsuyosa and Rainell collections expand

Citizen has added freshness to its Tsuyosa line this week and delivered five new models to its L Rainell line.

Looking first at what’s new for the Tsuyosa offering, a new limited edition model has been inspired by a journey into the past.

The new Tsuyosa Shore evoked a relaxed, coastal summer aesthetic with vintage-inspired details while maintaining a sporty design which is common throughout the collection.

The deep black gradient dial has a unique textured surface that creates a sophisticated look, while the warm gold-coloured bezel scale and dial indices enhance the watch’s classic styling.

Limited to 12,000 pieces worldwide, it comes on a three-link metal bracelet and is water resistant to 100 meters. A transparent caseback also allows the wearer to view the mechanical movement powering the timepiece.

L Rainell newness

Elsewhere, five new models have been added to the brand’s L Rainell collection, including a new limited edition model adorned with diamonds.

All new models here feature a smaller case size, with the brand explaining it is keen to build on the momentum of the Fio collection with its latest release.

Continuing its 50 years of celebrating its Eco-Drive technology, each watch in the offering is powered by any light, be it artificial or natural.

The limited edition model is limited to 3,300 pieces worldwide and is adorned with 43 diamonds that form a ring around the bezel.

Designers say the blue colour of the dial imagines a scene after a refreshing shower of rain, with subtle dot patterns and gradients reminiscent of Impressionist paintings.

Four other models have the same raindrop-shaped case with a range of appealing dial and bracelet colours.

The dials feature subtle colour gradients in white, black, off-white, and beige, while all five models feature a blue accent on the crown.

Both models will be available to purchase from citizenwatch.com next month.
