Eco-Drive 50th anniversary celebrations continue with five limited editions
As part of ongoing 50th anniversary celebrations for its iconic and trailblazing Eco-Drive technology, Citizen has released five limited edition watches across its ATTESA, Promaster, and CITIZEN L collections.
The brand, which hosted a spectacular 50th anniversary party at New York’s Guggenheim Museum back in March, has honed its Eco-Drive technology over the years, to the point where today it’s refined the art of having rich, multi-dimensional dials that can still allow light — natural or artificial — to pass through them and power the watch.
The ‘LIGHT in BLACK’ collection design is inspired by the concept of a single beam of light — represented by yellow gold-colored accents — illuminating the darkness — represented by black cases and dials.
Citizen taps into its production expertise and embraces advanced inkjet printing technology on the dials to produce five overlapping patterns in homage to the 50th anniversary.
These five limited edition pieces are launched this month and range in price from £329–£1595 / $450–$2440.
