Eric Clapton Patek Philippe among star lots at Phillips in New York
Phillips auction house will be hosting ‘The New York Watch Auction: XIV’ on June 13–14, with the highest estimate for a New York sale in the company’s history.
Taking place at 432 Park Avenue, the sale features a selection of fresh-to-the-market highlights, including a two-tone F.P. Journe Souscription Résonance No. 007 with pink gold dial, a Patek Philippe reference 5004G formerly owned by Eric Clapton, as well as a Rolex ‘Paul Newman’ Daytona ‘John Player Special.
“So many of these offerings are fresh to the market, appearing at auction for the first time, including our cover lot — the F.P. Journe Souscription Résonance No. 007, one of only two made in this configuration and one of the most important Journe timepieces to appear at auction,” said Paul Boutros, deputy chairman and head of watches, Americas, and Isabella Proia, head of sale and senior international specialist.
