Ernest Jones cuts the ribbon on its new Oxford Street store

Ernest Jones has formally opened its new store on Oxford Street, which is where it launched its first shop back in 1949.

Back then, Ernest and Stella Weinstein opened the doors of their single store with the aim of bringing a greater selection of watches and jewellery to the public.

Today, the company’s new location is at 465 Oxford Street, opposite Selfridges and Marks & Spencer and in between Marble Arch and Bond Street stations.

“Across Ernest Jones and our wider Signet Jewelers (UK and Ireland) business, our colleagues have worked tirelessly to bring this vision to life, always with a relentless focus on delivering the very best experience for our customers,” said Signet’s UK managing director, Neil Old, on LinkedIn

“Their passion, dedication and commitment to excellence define our business. Every detail of this opening reflects the care they bring to serving our customers — continuing to strengthen Ernest Jones as a trusted brand, underpinned by expertise and leadership in diamonds, fine jewellery and watches,” he continued.
