Ernest Jones returns to where it all began

Signet Jewelers’ Ernest Jones has announced the opening of a new store on Oxford Street, which is where it launched its first shop back in 1949.

Back then, Ernest and Stella Weinstein opened the doors of their single store with the aim of bringing a greater selection of watches and jewellery to the public.

Today, the company’s new location will be at 465 Oxford Street, opposite Selfridges and Marks & Spencer and in between Marble Arch and Bond Street stations.

“Bringing together our rich heritage of craftsmanship and service with a modern shopping experience, this chapter allows us to welcome a new generation of customers while honouring the values that have defined Ernest Jones from the very beginning,” the company said on LinkedIn.

“To everyone who has been part of our journey so far, thank you. We look forward to creating many more special moments together from the heart of Oxford Street.”
