Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather alleged to owe jeweler millions for luxury watches
Miami jeweler AJ’s Jewelry has claimed that former undefeated professional boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. owes millions of dollars for watches and jewelry that he ‘bought’ but never paid for.
In a Miami-Dade County circuit court lawsuit, the retailer claims that Mayweather went to the store twice in August 2025 and picked up goods that included 26 Cartier, Rolex, Audemars Piguet, and Patek Philippe watches.
The former boxer is alleged to have told the store that he would pay the $1.675 million bill later.
Because he’d been a regular at the shop for 17 years, the complaint states: “AJ’s Jewelry reasonably believed and relied upon Mayweather’s promises to pay for the jewelry items that it took possession of in full.”
The specifics make for a ‘who’s who’ of luxury watches, with a stainless steel $105,000 Patek Philippe 5711, a $105,000 Stainless Steel Patek Philippe Moon Phase 5726, and a $235,000 Yellow Gold Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual included in the collection that Mayweather supposedly still hasn’t paid for, according to invoices contained in the complaint.
Of the $1.675 million, AJ’s Jewelry owner Anthony Machado alleges that only $300,000 has been paid, with five checks bouncing.
The complaint says: “AJ’s Jewelry has repeatedly contacted Mayweather both orally and in writing to request payment of the remaining balance for the jewelry. Each time, Mayweather acknowledges the debt owed and promises to pay for the jewelry, then never sends the monies owed.”
