Fossil Group joins the small-cap Russell 2000 Index
Fossil Group, Inc. has joined the small-cap Russell 2000 Index, as of the conclusion of the June 2026 Russell Reconstitution.
It became effective when the US market closed on June 26, with CEO Franco Fogliato saying: “We are pleased to join the Russell 2000 Index, which we believe will enhance Fossil Group’s visibility among investors as we continue to execute on our turnaround plan and advance on our path to long-term profitable growth.”
The Russell 2000 Index measures the performance of the small-cap segment of the US equity market. It is used by investment managers and institutional investors for index funds and as a benchmark for active investment strategies.
In the first fiscal quarter of the year, sales at Fossil Group dropped 6.5% in constant currency to $224.8 million in the first fiscal quarter of 2026, blamed partly on a decline in smartwatch sales and the reduction in its store footprint.
