German watchmakers Laco and Circula join forces
German watchmakers Laco and Circula have introduced a collaborative project titled ProLab.
Bringing together a combined 170 years of Pforzheim’s famed watchmaking, the set commemorates Laco’s 100th anniversary and Circula’s 70th.
There are two distinct timepieces that are sold exclusively as a matched pair, based on the distinct DNA of both respective brands.
The first is the Laco ProLab, which utilises Laco’s signature 40mm sandblasted PRO case but features a sand-colored field watch dial inspired by Circula’s rugged design language.
Meanwhile, the Circula ProLab uses Circula’s hardened steel ProTrail case, known for its high scratch resistance, and pairs it with a classic black Type-B pilot dial that pays homage to Laco’s aviation heritage. Both watches are powered by the a Swiss Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement.
The casebacks are engraved with a map of Pforzheim, featuring two golden dots that mark the exact factory locations of each manufacture. Furthermore, each set is individually numbered and includes a limited-edition coin that matches the serial number of the watches.
The ProLab set is limited to just 170 units worldwide and is priced at €2,390.
