Grand Seiko America expands jurisdiction with control of Canadian market

Grand Seiko Corporation of America will assume full oversight of the Canadian market as it expands its responsibility in the region.

Effective immediately, it will now take care of brand presence, retail partnerships, and customer experience across the whole of North America.

Canada joins Mexico under the control of the Grand Seiko Corporation of America, a move the business says reinforces its hands-on way of working.

“Our approach to the Canadian market is rooted in partnership—with our retailers, the collector community, and everyone who shares our passion for fine watchmaking,” said Brice Le Troadec, president at Grand Seiko Corporation of America.

Adding: “We are deeply committed to building lasting relationships across Canada, listening to what the market needs, and working side by side with our partners to bring the full depth of the Grand Seiko world to watch enthusiasts from coast to coast.”

Announcing the news, the corporation commented on how the expansion outlines how the business is continuing to “strengthen its foothold in key luxury markets” and “ensure a consistent, world-class brand experience” in Canada. Communications becoming more streamlined was also referenced as a key benefit of the move.

The decision builds on a period of momentum for the brand in North America, coming just weeks after it announced a partnership with MLB star, Shohei Ohtani.
