Grand Seiko revives 2001 design with Arabic Blue introduction
Grand Seiko has introduced the SBGW325 ‘Arabic Blue’, a 600-piece limited edition inspired by the manually wound SBGW003 from 2001.
The 37.3mm stainless-steel watch revives the earlier model’s distinctive Arabic numerals, pairing them with a deep navy dial influenced by Japan’s indigo-dyeing tradition.
Raised indexes add further depth, while the blue crocodile strap is hand-dyed using traditional hon-ai techniques.
Powered by Grand Seiko’s manually wound Calibre 9S64, it has a 72-hour power reserve and a stated static accuracy of +5 to -3 seconds per day.
The case measures 11.7mm thick, 44.3mm lug-to-lug, and has a water resistance of 30 metres.
An additional white pebbled leather strap is included, while the sapphire caseback displays the movement and individual limited-edition number.
The Grand Seiko SBGW325 ‘Arabic Blue’ is priced at £5,000 / $5,800 and is limited to 600 pieces worldwide.
