Historic Baltimore jeweler relocates

Baltimore retailer Lakein’s Jewelers is relocating to the Belair Beltway Plaza, signing a 113 year-old lease.

The news of the lease was announced by David S. Brown Enterprises on Friday, who said that the arrival of the jeweler at the Belair Beltway Plaza — located at 7698 Belair Road — will elevate the customer experience and environment.

Officials at Belair Beltway Plaza — which serves the Nottingham, Fullerton, Parkville, and Perry Hall areas — also welcomed the news, saying that the jeweler brings local knowledge and a loyal customer base.

The company was recently recognized by the Baltimore Business Journal’s 2026 Family-Owned Business Awards, and has been in operation since 1913.
