Horological Society of New York overhauls senior team
The Horological Society of New York (HSNY) has announced the departure of Nicholas Manousos as executive director.
“Nicholas brought tremendous energy and dedication to HSNY, and the Board is deeply grateful for his contributions during his tenure,” said William Buchalter, president of HSNY. “His work advanced the Society’s educational mission, expanded our watchmaking and horological programs, and grew the community of people who care about this craft. On behalf of the entire Board, we thank him for his service to the organization.”
HSNY’s current deputy director, Carolina Navarro, will serve as acting executive director during the interim period while a permanent replacement is found.
Meanwhile, Pierre Halimi, general manager Americas of F.P. Journe, and Richard I. Lopez, senior vice president and senior watch specialist at Sotheby’s, have both been appointed to the board of trustees. They replace Mark Armenante and Briana Le, who have served their three-year term limit.
“We are pleased to welcome Pierre Halimi and Richard Lopez to the HSNY Board of Trustees,” said Buchalter. “Their expertise, achievements, and passion for horology align with our Society’s values. We look forward to their contributions as we expand our programs and strengthen our community of watch enthusiasts, collectors, and professionals.”
