Hublot expands its Big Bang collection for Watches & Wonders

Hublot has expanded its Big Bang collection with a 44 mm series — Big Bang Reloaded.

The collection builds on the Big Bang’s 20th anniversary and is set to debut at Watches & Wonders in Geneva this week.

The series comes in five different shades: titanium ceramic, all black, blue ceramic, dark green ceramic, and magic gold. Magic gold is the most expensive piece featured in the range, retailing at £34,900 / $44,500.

Julien Tornare, CEO of Hublot, said: “The Big Bang Reloaded is a masterful statement. It embodies Hublot’s growth as a manufacture and the evolution of the Big Bang collection and the Unico calibre over time.

“Hublot introduced the Big Bang Original featuring the Unico calibre earlier this year, inspired by the 2005 original model with a closed dial, yet reimagined and powered from now on by the Unico manufacture calibre. That was a turning point: our in-house calibre now drives the entire Big Bang collection.

“The next step for us was clear: to re-engineer the open worked Big Bang Unico itself, now more expressive and rebuilt from the inside out.”

Born in 2010, the Unico was the first calibre entirely designed, developed and manufactured in-house by Hublot.

Alongside this expansion is two Big Bang Reloaded limited editions in collaboration with Hublot ambassadors Kylian Mbappé and Usain Bolt. For both timepieces the design elements embody the success story of each athlete, and for each edition only 200 pieces were produced.

Hublot is also set to debut Big Bang Impact One Million, which houses 500 diamonds that are arranged in a vortex around a central flying tourbillon. Featuring diamonds set directly into sapphire, the timepiece retails at £945,000 / $1,205,000.

Finally, Watches & Wonders will also see a return of Hublot’s Big Bang Joyful, which sports a new shade in amethyst purple, alongside the Spirit of Big Bang Impact series in three editions: all black ceramic, sapphire and osmium, and diamond-set sapphire.
