Hugh Rice Rolex CPO manager tackles Great North Run for local baby loss charity
The Rolex Certified Pre-Owned manager at Hugh Rice in Hull is set to take on the Great North Run in aid of local charity, Working Independently Supporting Hull Hospitals (WISHH).
The race, which starts in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and finishes in South Shields on September 13th, is a half marathon (13.1 miles/21.1km) and puts all runner through their paces.
Max Rice is not only in preparation mode for the race, he is also in the process of raising money for WISHH which will donate the funds to the baby loss department at Hull Royal Infirmary.
According to his AJ Bell Great North Run fundraising page, Rice explained the importance of the cause he is running for on in less than a month’s time.
He said: “The team at WISHH have already done incredible work supporting people and families through some of the hardest moments of their lives. Baby loss is something that I, and a lot of people close to me, have struggled with, and I want to do anything I can to help support the incredible work they do.
“The money raised will go directly towards the Baby Loss Department, helping them continue to provide care, support and compassion to people going through experiences that no one should have to face.”
Meanwhile, in a LinkedIn post sharing details of the fundraiser, the Hull-based jeweller showed its support for its CPO manager, and the good cause too.
It stated: “The incredible team at WISHH do so much to support families through some of the hardest moments imaginable, and this fundraiser will help the baby loss department continue providing that vital care.”
Concluding: “If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, it would mean so much and help make a real difference. Please consider supporting this fantastic cause and helping us cheer Max on as he takes on the Great North Run.”
Rice is currently at 5% of his £1,500 target. You can donate HERE.
