Industry stalwart announces his departure from Casio
Stalwart of the US watch industry, Michael Eckhaus, is leaving Casio after 18 years with the company.
Announcing his decision on LinkedIn, Eckhaus explained that he was embarking on a new chapter, but didn’t give any specific details.
Eckhaus joined Casio as director of sales in 2008, following a stint as vice president of sales at Morellato.
“I’m proud to look back on a career defined by unprecedented business development and the successful expansion of the G-Shock brand across multiple retail and wholesale channels,” he said. “It has been a privilege to work with such an iconic brand and to build lasting relationships throughout the industry.
“I want to extend my sincere thanks to all of my colleagues across the US, Canada, the UK, Europe, and Japan for your unwavering support, collaboration, and friendship over the years,” he continued.
“Most importantly, thank you to all of my retail and wholesale partners who placed their trust in me to launch, grow, and manage their G-Shock businesses. Your confidence and partnership have meant everything.
He signed off by saying: “Thank you to everyone who has been part of this remarkable journey. Here’s to the next chapter.”
