James and Sophie Sellors go live with new retail business
James Sellors and his wife Sophie have officially launched their new retail business, Clarindon.
In a post shared to Instagram, Sophie Sellors confirmed that the website was now live and thanked those involved for their support in getting the business off the ground.
The move follows a turbulent few months for James Sellors, who was still a director at CW Sellors when an administrator was appointed in January of this year.
According to Companies House, Sophie Sellors is the sole director of Clarindon, having been appointed on 13 January.
However, Clarindon’s website describes both James and Sophie as co-founders and explains how decades of experience between them in the luxury retail world has been central to the launch.
Telling the story of how the business came to be, the site describes Clarindon as having a “multi-generational jewellery heritage” behind it.
It reads: “At Clarindon Jewellers, our foundations are built upon a multi-generational heritage within the jewellery and luxury watch industry, shaped by over 35 years of combined experience. This depth of knowledge allows us to offer a level of expertise, trust, and personal service that defines the true meaning of a family jewellers.
“Our background is rooted in a lifelong understanding of fine jewellery, diamonds, and luxury timepieces, developed through decades of working within the industry. This experience has shaped our approach — one that values craftsmanship, authenticity, and long-term relationships above all else.”
Adding: “Unlike traditional retail environments, we take a more considered and personal approach.”
The website boasts an impressive brand list with the likes of Oris, Raymond Weil, Bell & Ross, and Junghans forming a watch selection of over 65 brands. This complements jewellery, diamond and bridal services too.
Primarily an online business, Clarindon also offers a showroom which operates private consultations, something which the duo behind the business place a lot of importance on.
