John Mayer Daytona steals the show on eBay Live stream
eBay’s fledgling live commerce feature, ‘eBay Live,’ has enjoyed more success, this time with New York-based luxury watch dealer Vookum.
During a Vookum live stream on the platform, a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona “John Mayer” YG 116508 sold for $64,500, setting a new record by surpassing $1 million in total sales during a single livestream.
Over 13,500 viewers joined the stream on October 23 to watch 72 luxury timepieces sell, each starting at just $1.
This latest sale will fuel the momentum that eBay is gathering for its interactive livestream shopping service, which it believes is reshaping consumer buying habits.
