Johnsons director sets up fundraiser to help with cancer treatment

Mark Rypma, director of Johnsons Jewellers in Nuneaton, has set up a fundraising page to help him in his battle against cancer.

His professional career has seen him working at major multiples — Signet, Aurum Holdings (now Watches of Switzerland Group), and Fraser Hart — before becoming a director at Johnsons in 2022.

He was diagnosed earlier this year with stage 4 brain cancer (glioblastoma), with the tumour inoperable. 

The immunotherapy treatment in Germany that he sees as key to providing more time and a better quality of life is not cheap, and he has therefore reached out to the watch and jewellery community on his LinkedIn page to ask for support.
