Junghans celebrates century for Bauhaus Dessau

This year marks the 100th anniversary of Bauhaus Dessau, an institution that changed the face of modern design.

Bauhaus’s influence is still deeply felt today, nowhere more so than in the watch designs of German watchmaker Junghans.

Since the 1950s, Junghans has been crafting minimalist watches that bear the creative signature of Max Bill, whose work was shaped by his time at the design school.

The aptly named Max Bill line of watches have always combined minimalist dials, fine typography and clear functionality.

A commitment to these traits means that Max Bill watches aren’t swayed by fickle fashion trends and remain timeless in their design.
