Junghans takes deep dive with new Aquaris models
German watch brand Junghans has released four new diving watches in its Aquaris series.
These large 46.9mm timepieces are water-resistant to 50 bar (500 metres), and feature a cushion-shaped case with a central flank to protect the dual screw-down crowns.
The Aquaris Diver comes in green or orange, and aims to appeal to diving purists, with its X1 Grade luminous material on the dial and high-contrast minute hand. Its 2 o’clock crown operates an inner rotating countdown ring, and it comes with both a synthetic rubber strap and a stainless steel bracelet.
The Aquaris Red & Aquaris Blue models are technically identical to the Diver, but have a bit more of a design flourish. Their sunburst dials and sleek baton hands will be a hit with watch collectors that like a balance between functionality and striking aesthetics.
The Aquaris Diver is £2,790 / $3,950, while the Aquaris Blue and Red models are £2,690 / $3,800.
