Junghans unveils three solar-powered timepieces
Junghans has unveiled three solar-powered launches with radio-controlled watch technology.
The new Meister MEGA Solar models are unisex, and all versions feature a slim stainless-steel case, slender baton hands, minimalist baton markers, and a domed sapphire crystal.
The model comes in three variations: gold with a Milanese bracelet which retails for £1,390, gold on a grey leather strap which retails at £1,290, or a steel version on a black leather strap, retailing at £1,190.
At 38 mm, the case back includes a mineral glass window printed with a sun motif on the inside.
The design is powered by a radio-controlled calibre J101.85, which draws its power from a battery that is continuously charged by a solar cell located underneath the dial.
It can receive radio signals in Europe, the UK, the U.S., and Japan, and it can also be controlled via the Junghans app. The piece has a power reserve of up to three years.
