Laings to return to Glasgow’s Argyll Arcade for first time in four years
Laings has announced its imminent return to Glasgow’s Argyll Arcade in summer of this year.
The site is the same space as the jeweller had previously occupied between 1971 and 2022. It had moved out as part of expansion into its £5 million flagship store on the city’s Buchanan Street.
Posting on LinkedIn, the company said that full details of the new opening will be unveiled between now and the summer.
“During my time at Laings, I’ve been fortunate to witness an unwavering dedication to the world of jewellery and watches,” said Serena Gough, services director at Laings. “It has been a true privilege to help shape that passion into new avenues. This new showroom will stand as a celebration of artistry, bringing a renewed focus on craftsmanship and beautifully British‑made jewellery to Glasgow. I know it will be a truly special addition to the city.”
The company’s CEO Joe Walsh was equally excited about the news. “The Argyll Arcade was a home for Laings for many years, it seemed only right to return there for our new venture. This project is a culmination of our heritage, expertise and the innovative ideas that we believe will expand the jewellery landscape within Glasgow.”
