Luminox pays tribute to Navy SEALs

Luminox has unveiled a new limited edition watch called The Guardian, which is an addition to its Navy SEAL Foundation (NSF) 3500 series.

There will be just 961 of The Guardian, which is a nod to the year 1961, which is when the SEALs were formed.

The standout feature is the NSF logo at 6 o’clock, coated in Super-LumiNova®, which is designed to shine brightest in total darkness.

“From the very beginning, this watch was curated as a tribute rather than a product,” said Pierrick Marcoux, group product director for Luminox. “The Navy SEAL Foundation does extraordinary work in supporting service men and women. With ‘The Guardian’, we wanted to create something that symbolically reflects that mission…a watch that quite literally shines a light in the dark as a statement of respect, remembrance, and ongoing support.”

Available from March 24, The Guardian costs £539 / $695.
