LVMH hires new deputy CEO for North America

LVMH in North America has named Alexandra Winokur as its new deputy chief executive officer.

Starting her new role today, she’ll be working under chairman and CEO Michael Burke, as reported by WWD on Friday.

LVMH said that Winokur “will strengthen the community of local brand presidents, providing direction on key topics such as client experience, retail and digital innovation to foster and accelerate the group’s local ambitions.”

Winokur, who has been at Christian Dior Couture Americas since 2023, succeeds Anish Melwani, who will remain until April as part of a transition period of handover.

“North America is of paramount strategic importance to LVMH and the enduring desirability of our maisons,” said Burke. “I am pleased to welcome Alexandra, who will undoubtedly help us further grow our presence and uphold our uncompromising standards of excellence throughout our operations.

“My deepest thanks go to Anish for his passionate leadership and impactful contribution to our group and maisons in North America. He leaves behind an extremely committed team, whose outstanding management of the local business is widely recognized by the industry,” he added.
