Maurice Lacroix celebrates Jura Independence Day

Swiss watch brand Maurice Lacroix is celebrating Jura Independence Day by launching two limited edition variants of its retro-modern 1975 Legacy timepiece, honouring its manufacturing home in Saignelégier.

Limited to 500 pieces each, the 39 mm stainless steel watches are available with either a slate grey or powder silver dial.

Both feature the brand’s patented “Vagues du Jura” (Jura Waves) dial motif, accented by 4N gold-tone dauphine hands, hand-applied indices, and a vintage box-style sapphire crystal.

The caseback is engraved with the village’s Marché-Concours Hall and Franches-Montagnes horses, a nod to local equestrian culture.

Under the hood, the watch is powered by the Swiss automatic ML158 calibre, delivering a 60-hour power reserve.

The watches come on a black leather strap equipped with a tool-free quick-change system, and are priced at CHF 1,950.
