More freshness from Citizen as it refuses to sit still

Citizen is living up to its reputation of never resting on its laurels by starting this year with a flurry of innovation and launches.

Its latest Tsuyosa Shore has double the water resistance of existing Tsuyosa models, now up to 100 meters.

The 40mm case either comes in stainless steel, paired with a deep blue dial (priced at $495), or gold-tone with a rich green dial (priced at $550).

Powered by the automatic Caliber 820, the watch also puts emphasis on legibility, with luminous accents and a magnified 3 o’clock date window.

Meanwhile, Citizen has also added to its Series8 collection, which is equipped with a slim Cal.9051 mechanical movement.

The central dial features a stylized Tokyo skyline blended with a traditional check pattern, a Japanese symbol for prosperity. Elegant indices provide a refined aesthetic, while the limited-edition model utilizes a grey and gold color scheme with a robust, lightweight forged carbon dial.

The latest Series8 release is limited to just 150 pieces and is priced at $1,295.
