NAJ confirms appointment of new chair
The National Association of Jewellers (NAJ) has held its 2026 annual general meeting (AGM) and confirmed the appointment of its new chair.
The company had previously announced that the previous incumbent, Adam Jacobs, would be stepping down last month, and at its AGM it formally confirmed his replacement as Mehdi Saadian, who is director of the GIA London campus.
“I would like to thank Adam Jacobs for his leadership, commitment and the clarity of direction he has given the NAJ, leaving the Association in a stronger position with firm foundations for the future,” Saadian said.
“It is a genuine privilege to take on the role of Chair, and I do so with both gratitude and a strong sense of responsibility. I look forward to building on that momentum; strengthening our community, growing our membership, and ensuring a truly inclusive, member-focused approach to everything we do,” he concluded.
As he leaves his role, Jacobs highlighted the importance of unity and collaboration across the trade, and spoke of the importance of the NAJ continuing to support its members through advocacy, education and practical guidance.
