NAJ confirms charity fund for 2026

The National Association of Jewellers (NAJ) has announced the return of a £50,000 charity fund for 2026.

The British Allied Trades Federation’s (BATF) Charity Fund is an initiative that offers £50,000 worth of grants to support charitable causes nominated by members across its federated associations, including NAJ members.

Last year, the initiative provided £73,000 to 20 different charities across the UK, ranging from healthcare and mental health services to education and community outreach programmes.

The NAJ is the largest membership community within the BATF, with approximately 1,500 member  companies and 24,000 employees, and many of the charities that have been supported by the fund have been nominated directly by NAJ members.

The BATF Charity Fund is designed to ensure donations reach credible organisations they deem to be making a tangible difference, with each nominated charity required to be registered with the Charity Commission.

Applications for a grant between £500 and £5,000 can be made either via a nomination by a BATF member or through a direct application with a registered charity.

To ensure full transparency, successful grants are paid directly to the charity’s bank account.

A spokesperson for the NAJ said: “We are proud to support our members in amplifying the positive impact of the BATF Charity Fund. “Each nomination contributes to a wider collective effort and by working together, NAJ members can help ensure that the 2026 fund continues to deliver meaningful and lasting support to deserving causes.”
