New chief people officer appointed at Fossil Group

Fossil Group has appointed Shannon Freeze as chief people and communications officer this week.

Coming into effect on February 23, Freeze’s role will see her report to the company’s CEO, Franco Fogliato.

In her broad brief she will be responsible for global communications for the multi-brand group, while also overseeing diversity and belonging, human resources, talent management, and total rewards.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Shannon to Fossil Group,” said Fogliato. “As chief people and communications officer and a member of the executive leadership team, Shannon will continue to strengthen our culture, leadership, and organizational capability in support of the Company’s vision. Her background spans diverse industries, and her extensive international experience grants her a truly global perspective that will enhance our team’s outlook.”

Reporting to Fossil Group CEO, Franco Fogliato, Freeze’s broad brief will see her oversee global communications, as well as  and engagement, diversity and belonging, human resources, talent management, and total rewards at the watch licensor and manufacturer. She will also join the firm’s executive leadership team.

Freeze, whose background is almost entirely in HR roles, said of her appointment: “Fossil has made meaningful progress over the past year, and I am excited to build on that foundation by helping the organization evolve its talent strategy, deepen leadership effectiveness, and ensure the culture fully supports the company’s long-term strategic plan.”
