Nivada Grenchen unveils the Antarctic Erotic
Nivada Grenchen has unveiled the Antarctic Erotic, building on from the classic Antarctic 38 mm.
With a see-through case back and an animation of penguins when winding, the design is meant to pay homage to the erotic watchmaking tradition of detail and discovery.
Powering the piece is a modified hand-wound Soprod P054, adapted to drive the animated case back mechanism.
The timepiece features a 38 mm “Spider Case” in stainless steel, with alternating polished and brushed surfaces for a vintage appearance.
With multiple different straps depending on the variant, prices start at $1,569 for the leather strap version, and $1,769 for the metal bracelet alternative.
