Nomadic celebrates St. Patrick’s Day in style

Northern Irish watch brand Nomadic is celebrating this year’s St. Patrick’s Day in style, with the launch of a limited edition Black Shamrock collection.

The collection, which comprises the Black Shamrock Céad 126 and an updated Black Shamrock Maraí 401, is likely to be snapped up fast, given Nomadic’s previous experiences of new releases selling out in seconds online.

Black Shamrock Céad 126

The Céad 126’s day/date complication has been changed so that the days are now written in Irish, while a shamrock marks the 17th day of the month, as St. Patrick’s Day falls on March 17 this year.

Its black dial has green subdials, while the leather strap comes with black and green stitching.

The Black Shamrock Céad 126 is priced at £2,795.

Black Shamrock Maraí 401

The Maraí 401 is available in both a new 36mm size, as well as its original 40mm. The black dial contrasts with the green bezel, and, like the Céad 126, a shamrock replaces the 17th day of the month on the day/date function. On top of this, a harp appears at 12 o’clock, which is Nomadic’s representation of the shipyard cranes combined with a traditional Celtic harp.

The Black Shamrock Maraí 401 is priced at £1,195.

Both watches are limited to 50 individually numbered pieces, with one version of each being released at 7pm every day throughout March — 31 altogether. The other 19 will be available exclusively at Nomadic’s Belfast boutique.
